Surah Al Kahf Verse 6, Latin, Translation and Its Tafseer

 فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّـفۡسَكَ عَلٰٓى اٰثَارِهِمۡ اِنۡ لَّمۡ يُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِهٰذَا الۡحَـدِيۡثِ اَسَفًا (6)

Latin Inscription : Fala’allaka bakhi’un nafsaka ‘alaa aatsarihim in lam yu’minu bihadzal khaditsi asafan

Translation from sahih international : Then perhaps you would kill yourself through grief over them, [O Muhammad], if they do not believe in this message, [and] out of sorrow. (Al Qur’an Surah Al Kahf verse 6)

Tafseer Al Qur'an Surah Al Kahf Verse 6 According to the book Tafsir Jalalain

فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ (Then perhaps you would kill) kill- نَفْسَكَ عَلى اثَارِهِمْ (yourself through grief over them,) after they turn away from you – اِنْ لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوْا بِهذَا الْحَدِيْثِ ([O Muhammad], if they do not believe in this message,) namely to the Qur'an – اَسَفًا ([and] out of sorrow) because of your feelings of annoyance and sadness, because you want them to believe. Lafadz Asafan was punished for being maf'ul lah
