The Second hadith from the Arbain Nawawi: the Pillars of Islam, Faith, and Ihsan.

 The following is the second hadith from the Arbain Nawawi book of hadith. A hadith explains the pillars of faith, Islam, and ihsan. Studying this hadith will increase our insight and knowledge about the Pillars of Islam, the Pillars of Faith, and Ihsan. And make ourselves have perfect morals.

عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ اَيْضًا قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ جُلُوْسٌ عِنْدَ رَسُوْلِ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ اِذْ طَلَعَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ شَدِيْدُ بَيَاضِ الثِّيَابِ شَدِيْدُ سَوَادِ الشَّعْرِ، لَايُرَى عَلَيْهِ اَثَرُ السَّفَرِ، وَلَايَعْرِفُهُ مِنَّا احَدٌ, حَتَّى جَلَسَ اِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْنَدَ رُكْبَتَيهِ وَوَضَعَ كفَّيْهِ عَلَى فَخِذَيْهِ وَقَالَ : يَامُحَمَّدٌ اَخْبِرْنِي عَنِ الْاِسْلَامِ , فَقَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ : الْإِسْلَامُ اَنْ تَشْهَدَ اَنْ لَااِلَهَ إِلَّااللّهُ وَاَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُوْلُ اللّهِ وَ تُقِيْمَ الصَّلَاةَ وَ تُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصُوْمَ رَمَضَانَ وَتَحُجَّ الْبَيْتَ اِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ اِلَيْهِ سَبِيْلًا قَالَ : صَدَقْتَ. فَعَجِبْنَا لَهُ يَسْأَلُهُ وَيُصَدِّقُهُ , قَالَ : فَأَخْبِرْنِي 

عَنِ الْإِيْمَانِ قَالَ : اَنْتُؤْمِنَ بِاللّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَ الْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَتُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَ شَرِّهِ. قَالَ صَدَقْتَ قَالَ فَأَخْبِرْنِى عَنِ الْإِحْسَانِ، قَالَ : اَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللّهَ كَاَنَّكَ تَرَاهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَرَاهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَرَاكَ, قَالَ : فَأَخْبِرْنِى عَنِ السّاعَةِ،قَالَ : مَا الْمَ سْؤُوْلُ عَنْهَا بِأَعْلَمَ مِنَ السَّائِلِ. قَالَ فَأَخْبِرْنِى عَنْ اَمَارَاتِهَا, قَالَ اَنْ تَلِدَ الْأَمَةُ رَبَّتَهَا وَاَنْ تَرَى الْحُفَاةَ الْعُرَاةَ الْعَالَةَ رِعَاءَ الشَّاءِ يَتَطَاوَلُوْنَ فِى الْبُنْيَانِ، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ فَلَبِثْتُ مَلِيًّا، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا عُمَرَ  أَتَدرِى مَنِ السَّائِل؟ قُلْتُ ، اللّهُ وَرَسُوْلُه اَعْلَمَ. قَالَ فَإِنَّهُ جِبْرِيْلُ اَتَاكُمْ يُعَلّمُكُمْ دِيْنَكُمْ (رواه مسلم)

Latin inscription :‘An ‘Umaro rodhiyallahu ‘anhu aidhon qola bainama nakhnu juluusun ‘inda rosulillahi shollallahu ‘alaihi wa sallama dzata yaumin idz thola’a ‘alaina rojulun syadiidu bayaadhits tsiyaabi syadidu sawadi SsSya’ri, laa yuro ‘alaihi atsaru ssafar, wa la ya’rifuhu minna akhadun, khatta  jalasa ilannabiyyi shollallahu ‘alaihi wasallama fa asnada rukbataihi wawadho’a kaffaihi ‘ala fakhidzaihi wa qo la ya muhammadun akhbirni ‘anil islami, faqola rosululullahi shollallahu ‘alaihi wasallama alislaamu an tasyhada an laa ilaha illallahu wa anna muhammadan rosulullahi wa tuqiimash sholaata wa tu’tiyaz zakaata wa tashuma romadhona wa takhujjal baita inis tatho’ta ilaihi sabila , qola shodaqta, fa’ajibna lahu yasaluhu wa yushoddiquhu, qola fa akhbirni ‘anil imani qo la antu’mina billahi wa malaaikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihi wal yaumil akhiri wa tu’mina bil qodari khoirihi wa syarrihi, qola shodaqta, qola fa akhbirni ‘anil ikhsaan , qola anta’budallaha ka annaka taroohu fainlam takun taraohu fainnahu waroka, qola fa akhbirniy ‘anis sa’ati, qola malmasuulu ‘anha bia’lama minas saaili, qola faakhbirni ‘an amaarotiha, qola an talidal amatu robbataha wa an tarol khufata ‘urotal ‘alata ri’aa sysyaao yatathowaluna fil bunyani, tsumman tholaqo falabistu maliyyan, tsumma qola ya ‘umaro atadriy manis saili, qultu allahu wa rosuluhu a’lama, qola fainnahu jibrilu atakum yu’allimukum dinakum (rowahu muslim) 

Meaning From ‘Umar Rodhiyallahu’ Anhu also said when we were sitting by the side of Rasulullah SAW one day suddenly a man came wearing white clothes and black hair, he did not see any traces of a very long journey, and no none of us know him. Until then, he sat down in front of the Prophet and then pressed his knees to the knees of the Prophet Muhammad while saying. “Ya Muhammad, tell me about Islam.?” Then the Messenger of Allah said, “Islam is that you testify that there is no god (god that is worshiped besides Allah, and that the Prophet Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. You establish prayers, pay zakat, fast Ramadan and go to Hajj if you can.” Then he said you were right. “We were all surprised, he who asked him also confirmed. Then he asked again: “Tell me about faith. “ Then he said, “You believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the last day, and you believe in good and bad destiny, “then he said, “you are right. “ Then he said again: “Tell me about ihsan. “ Then he said, “Ihsan is you worship Allah as if -you will see it, if you don’t see it, then He sees you.” Then he said, “Tell me about the Day of Judgment (when it will happen)”. He said, “The one who is asked knows no more than the one who is asking.” said, “Tell me about the signs”, he said, “If a servant gives birth to his master and if you see a barefoot and chestless, poor again shepherd of sheep, (then) vying to elevate his building”, then the person left and I paused. Then he (Rasulullah shallahu`alaihi wa sallam) asked, "Do you know who asked?". I said, “Allah and His Messenger know better.” He said, “He is Gabriel who came to you (intends) to teach your religion”. (Narrated by Muslim)

The following are the four contents or contents of the hadith narrated by the Muslims above which are the second hadith from the Arba'in Nawawi book

1. There are 5 pillars of Islam, namely testifying that there is no god but Allah, the Prophet Muhammad the Messenger of Allah, establishing prayer, paying zakat and going to pilgrimage if able
2. There are 6 Pillars of Faith, namely 1.) belief in Allah, 2.) belief in Allah’s angels, 3.) belief in Allah’s books, 4.) belief in Allah’s messengers, 5.) belief in the Last day, 6 .) have faith in destiny, both good and bad
3. Ihsan is that we worship Allah as if we see him, if we don’t see him then Allah sees us.
4. Including the sign of doomsday is the amount of disobedience to both parents. So that children treat both parents as a master treats his servants.
